Meet Our Attorneys
Attorney Gordon Fenderson received a Bachelor of Science degree in political science from Appalachian State University and a Juris Doctorate from Florida Coastal School of Law. He is a member of the Florida Bar, Jacksonville Bar Association, Middle District of Florida, and Florida Justice Association.
Concentrating his legal practice on personal injury accident claims and DUI defense Gordon has represented clients throughout the state of Florida. He fights to recover losses from accident-related injuries while helping clients understand the legal and insurance landscapes. Gordon represents DUI defendants by giving them a strong voice in court and helping them through their difficult time with compassion, as well as the honest answers and information they need.
In addition to practicing law, Gordon volunteers his time as a judge in Teen Court, a local intervention program that helps first-time teenage offenders avoid incarceration and get their lives on the right track.
Douglas W. Shanteau
Attorney Douglas Shanteau received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Connecticut and a Juris Doctorate from Florida Coastal School of Law. While in law school he received a “Book” award and “Best Brief” award in the research and writing class Lawyering Process I. He also received a “Best Civil Team” award in the class Trial Practice.
Mr. Shanteau participated in the Florida Coastal Consumer Law Clinic while in law school representing indigent individuals in the areas of foreclosure, debt collection, and wage garnishment defense. He graduated from Florida Coastal School of Law in the top 15% of the class in 2012 and received the Pro Bono award.
Mr. Shanteau was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2012 and joined Gordon Fenderson practicing in the areas of civil litigation, personal injury, and foreclosure defense. He is admitted to practice in the State of Florida and is a member of the Florida Bar Association
Amanda Anderson Bright
Attorney Amanda Bright attended Florida State University where she received a degree in Mass Media Communication and graduated with honors. Following her time at Florida State Ms. Bright was an award winning news reporter and anchor, but, hoping to make a difference in the world she left the world of news to become an attorney. Ms. Bright received a Juris Doctorate from Florida Coastal School of Law where she graduated in the top of her class and received numerous awards for her notable performance in academics including the prestigious Book Award for her top grade in Business Associations.
Ms. Bright is passionate about justice and focuses most of her time on defending those accused of crimes and fighting for those who have been injured at the fault of someone else. She also has a passion for the First Amendment and enjoys standing up for it any chance she can get.
When Ms. Bright is not in the office you can find her traveling with her husband and a good book or relaxing on the beach with her dogs. Over the years Ms. Bright has been active in the community donating her time to the American Heart Association, the Lupus Foundation of America, the Humane Society, and the Wounded Warrior Project.
